I really enjoyed my church meetings today. I attended Sacrament Meeting in my home ward, then went "down the hill" to my Aunt's ward and accompanied her and another aunt in singing "I Walked Where Jesus Walked." I admit, when I first played through the piece, I didn't like it. The accompaniment just seemed a bit bipolar. We first performed it for my grandparents' 50th Wedding Anniversary luncheon. It was a spiritual experience for me, seeing all my aunts and uncles share their love for their family. Today, I felt the Spirit again, testifying of the reality of the Atonement. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ, the message of hope, the plan of salvation / happiness. I know it's true. I guess my feelings can be summed up by this verse of one of the hymns we sang today (How Great the Wisdom and the Love, hymn 195):
"How great, how glorious, how complete,
Redemption's grand design,
Where justice, love, and mercy meet
In harmony divine!"
I only hope that I can put my trust in my Savior and continue to try to do my best in this life so that I can always have my Heavenly Father's Spirit to guide and direct me. I want to make righteous choices that will lead me back to live with Him, Jesus Christ, and my family forever. I also love my family, and I'm so grateful for the experiences I have with them. I know that we have been sealed together to be a family for eternity. I wouldn't have it any other way. Who wouldn't love an eternity of annoying (only sometimes) siblings, playing hearts, laughing, and eating ice cream together?
